Boitano Family Wines is operated by four generations of family. Our mission is to provide elegant affordable wine from quality grapes grown in the Sierra foothills. The Boitano family started growing Sangiovese grapes in their Mokelumne Hill vineyard in 1999. The six generation mother lode family comes together annually to prune in early spring and harvest in fall. You can meet many of us by visiting our tasting room in Lockeford every Saturday & Sunday and most holidays. We pride ourselves in the quality and unique flavors of our seven sensational varieties Trebbiano, Viognier, Zinfandel, Barbera, Super Tuscan, Sangiovese. Only at Boitano Family Wines can you taste Santano Sangiovese (the people’s choose) grown in our Mokelumne Hill vineyard.
