Mokelumne Hill Photos

The town reservoir was a popular postcard subject with Mokelumne Hill residents at the turn of the last century.  This one is postmarked January 17, 1907 with a penny stamp from Florence Moser Solari to her sister Eugenia, "Mrs. Ely C. Fisher", who was in Colorado at the time.  The message is written entirely on the front:  "Your letter rec'd.  Isn't this a good view?  There is snow everywhere and still falling.  The roads are a fright.  Am still at home the weather is so bad.  Florence"
