Ice Cream and Music
Saturday June 5 from 4-6 PM
Come and join The Mokelumne Hill History Society in celebrating the 4 PM dedication of our Town’s newest public space – a garden and sitting area on Main Street. This garden is made possible through the generous donations of Mary Wilborn and Teresa Moore. Join your friends and neighbors in celebration by participating in an ice cream social - music will be supplied by our favorite guitar-playing crooner, Phil McCartney,
For many years, Mary Wilborn has provided substantial financial support to the Town’s Fire Association, Community Historical Trust, Veterans’ Memorial District, Friends of the Library and the History Society.
The small lot, accessible from China Gulch, sits between the Library/Archives building and Hosford Real Estate. It was purchased in 2001 with a portion of a bequest from former town benefactor Teresa Moore. The Moore Trust previously enabled the purchase and renovation of our wonderful Library/Archive building. Recent donations from Mary Wilborn to the Mokelumne Hill History Society have enabled it to convert this formerly empty lot into a lovely landscaped area complete with picnic tables and benches.
We look forward to seeing everyone on Saturday, June 5th.
