This year's 4th of July will be a little different. We are still having the parade and all of the usual activities but starting at 2pm, the Mokelumne Hill Volunteer Firefighter's Association is sponsoring live music in the street. Mojo and Tess from Sutter's Creek will be playing until 5pm. Usually the activities are done by early afternoon and the town clears out. This year the fun is going to keep going into the afternoon. Anyone wishing to make a donation to help with the cost of the band may make a contribution to the Mokelumne Hill Volunteer Firefighter's Association at PO Box 141. So this year, plan on staying in town and listening to some great music, dancing, and enjoying various food and drinks. You have to try the MHVFA killer margaritas and BBQ pulled pork sandwiches.
