Rumor has it that there is a 10-year-old-ish brown van wandering around town, stopping at houses where it appears no one is home. When a local resident stopped and questioned the three people in the van, they claimed to represent a new Kirby Vaccuum store opening in Jackson, then left abruptly.

View some pictures of this year's Fireman's Ball online at the Moke Hill Fire website. Thanks to the community for your support of another great fundraiser for our fire department. Please say thanks to Scott and Lynne Greer of Greer Stucco for his donation toward the band, and be sure to use Amador Quick Print (223-2850) for all your printing needs - they donate the printing of our mailers each year! Also, a HUGE thank you to our Association members, who worked tirelessly to organize this great event.
Per Jeff Brenner's request (thanks, Jeff!) I've re-enabled site forums. Anyone with an account can post forum topics, reply to forum topics, etc. Guests cannot post, so if you wanna get in there and start writing, create an account! There are a few different forum topics I created to start out with - if you'd like to see additional topics added, simply contact me and I'll add them.

The fundraiser was organized by the PTO. The kids walked (ran, skipped, danced) around the field and around the playground for an hour. Each child was encouraged to get pledges for the amount of laps completed.
